Have you read the latest news about  “robo – signers”  on foreclosure documents?  Robo-signing   is when mortgage lenders sign hundreds and thousands of affidavits that are then submitted to the court in support of foreclosure complaints.  Many times, the employees of the lender are signing the documents without any knowledge of what they have signed.  The New Jersey Courts have ordered the six largest mortgage lenders in New Jersey to explain their foreclosure application process and assure the Court that the process is up to standards.  This court Order has brought foreclosures to a standstill,  and may afford a homeowner more time to work out the financing.  If you are facing foreclosure, or are considering buying a property that is currently under foreclosure, contact CLDDS for a consultation with one of our real estate attorneys.
