"A thorough understanding of the client’s needs will ensure that their desired results are achieved."
The difference between a job and a career is passion. I came to CLDD&S to pursue two areas of the law I was passionate about: elder law and adoptions.
During my legal career, I have been fortunate to have been exposed to many different areas of the law. That exposure has included representation of public sector clients and assisting those clients in litigation matters, various land use matters, contract matters, employer/employee matters, adoptions, and guardianship. However, it was my work on the guardianship matters that truly piqued my interest in elder law. Nothing satisfied me more or felt more rewarding then helping someone who needed help. To know you made a difference in someone’s life and helped that individual in some small way was a great feeling. It was the realization that I had a passion for elder law that brought me to CLDD&S. I have been given the opportunity to do something I love. I believe my passion for elder law is evident in dealing with my clients. I want to help them with whatever their needs may be, from drafting a simple will or power of attorney to assisting them with more complex matters such as Medicare/Medicaid planning.
Listening is key to understanding a client’s needs. A thorough understanding of the client’s needs will ensure that their desired results are achieved. The thought of estate planning or Medicare/Medicaid planning is often intimidating to many individuals. I eliminate that intimidation by making the process as easy and painless as possible for my clients. This law firm always strives to do the best for its clients and I believe it is evident in the work produced and the results achieved.
