Breaking Ground and Building Community: Join us in supporting the Ocean County Library

July 19, 2023

On June 15th, the Ocean County Library Foundation hosted a meet-and-greet fundraiser at Cuisine on the Green in Little Egg Harbor Township, NJ. The Foundation is dedicated to fostering community awareness and appreciation of the Ocean County Library.

During the event, attendees had the opportunity to mingle and engage in meaningful discussions about the Foundation’s mission to enhance library services. With a suggested $20 dollar donation, guests were treated to a delightful selection of appetizers prepared by Ocean County Vocational School Culinary Arts Program, as well as coffee, tea and soft drinks. Jonathan Z. Petro, Esq., Managing Partner of Carluccio, Leone, Dimon, Doyle & Sacks, LLC serves as the current Chairperson of the Library Foundation and delivered remarks on behalf of the Board of Trustees.

The Ocean County Library Foundation is committed to enriching all aspects of library services, program and facilities. They aim to foster an appreciation for the Ocean County Library within the community, recognizing the vital role it plays in promoting lifelong learning and community development.

The event also marked a significant milestone – the groundbreaking of the new Ocean County Library branch located in Stafford, NJ. The new branch will feature dedicated spaces for children’s programs, areas specifically designed for teens and an intergenerational space that encourages socialization among senior citizens.

As of 2023, the Ocean County Library consists of a network of 21 branches, with more on the horizon, made possible through support and the help of community partners. These branches including Toms River, Barnegat, Beachwood, Berkeley, Brick, Island Heights and more are essential pillars that support lifelong learning, foster sustainable community and contribute to local economic development.

Consider supporting the community where we live and serve. By contributing to the Ocean County Library Foundation, you are directly supporting the expansion of library services, program and facilities. Together, we can make a notable difference.
